Counting down the days to depart in two weeks time to be with the STARS and their mentors.

Volunteers are awesome. Yesterday, 6 volunteers met to help to plan Verena and my visit to Kenya to be with the STARS and their mentors. As I am excited to volunteer to serve orphans, I am encouraged by the enthusiasm generated of Allen, Brad, Sonita, Ryan and Verena. Thank you everyone!

At 4:30 pm EST December 24 in the U.S., the STARS and their mentors are now celebrating Christmas day in Kenya. Merry Christmas to them, and one and all around the world!

Did you understand who are the volunteers? In brief, they are Americans and Kenyans. These volunteers raise, administer and mentor orphans to be educated leaders with sound character. These orphans become STARS, Students Transforming Africa Renewing Society. This year, many of these orphans graduated high school. As STARS, they now serve their community as volunteer
